I have always enjoyed Physics and Science, or as the dictionary definition reads "The analysis of nature". So much so that I decided to study Astrophysics at University and am looking to pursue a career in science teaching. Through the University of St. Andrews I am spending one afternoon a week during the fall term of 2011 at Bell Baxter High School in Cupar as part of a Science Teaching and Communication course offered during my fourth and final year of study. Following in the footsteps of my father (also a high school science teacher) and to independently aid in the communication portion of the module I have set up this blog to share scientific ideas, course content, answers to students questions and topics of general interest in the field of science.
